We went to this burger place for lunch (turned out to be a drag bar which was shitty in other ways) but the walls were papered with rolling stones covers and it just really becomes obvious when you see lots of magazine covers next to each other that men are treated as people and women are treated as objects.

Just to let you guys know, the people of Rolling Stones are absolute fucking prejudiced,  asshole motherfuckers.

But what about…?

There might be a trend to sexualize women on the covers more, but this post disregards all the women that have been featured in a non-sexualized way and the men that have been sexualized.

Also you all act like these women were FORCED TO DO THAT SHIT I’m sure they said OKAY to it. And before you wanna argue THEY HAD TO, no these celebs are very famous if they didn’t want to absolutely didn’t want to they wouldn’t.

A Rant About Feminism

vladimirnootin:

I am done with feminism. Especially Tumblr feminism. I keep track of the blogs I visit, so I can go back and check on things over time before deciding if I want to follow them or not. Over the course of three years, I have come across two that didn’t make me sick to my…

Now You Know (Source)

Why though? 😳

A Czech girl here to extensively talk about her country! This is actually fun tradition, and the ‘beating’ is mostly symbolic. It stings a bit but I can’t say that I’d consider it unbearably painful or abusive. Nobody forces women to participate, and today people only go to the other people they know. And honestly I find it much more preferable to tradition where they spill water on you or even worse perfume. (I did that once and I it was annoying and I smelled horrible. I’m happy for whipping thank you) Though there’s like revenge day for women who then spill water on guys. (I never did, or haven’t seen it done though)

As to why. Traditionally it is not because the men want to cause harm to the women, the spring whipping was meant as a way for women to stay healthy, pretty and fertile for the following year. The whip is called ‘Pomlázka’ which comes from the word ‘Pomlazení - Omlazení’ which translates into Rejuvenation. Young twigs are used for the whip to transfer the ‘life force’ into women.

The whip is usually traditionally made out of pussy willow so it’s flexible and women are more usually whipped on their legs rather than backsides, though I guess you usually cover both. And it’s not only unmarried women. Nowadays in most region it’s ‘all’ the women. Even my grandma gets symbolic whipping.

It was also a form of symbolic ‘courtship’. Traditionally on Easter we decorate actual eggs. There are many ways how to do this, personally I love decorating with bee wax (I got beekeepers in the family)  but also with onion peels and flowers.

Decorated with wax

Decorated with straw

Now the eggs are also a symbols of New life. And men ‘court’ women by whipping them (in the past some women actually took offence if nobody came to them) and the women give the men the decorated eggs as a sign of forgiveness and thanks for the rejuvenation. In some regions they also decorate their whips with bows. And Guys have to sing a Eastern Carol asking for the eggs.

It sound kinda brutal when you say they whip women, and sometimes there are alcohol issues, but generally it’s really tame and I find it to be fun tradition.

Thank god you showed up before the 14 year old social justice bloggers did

I don’t have a favorite Assassin. I love them all. I am not picky because I know they were humans who made mistakes and have suffered losses. Meaning not every Assassin is going to have Ezio’s personality because they are different people with different personalities, views, and decisions! So give it a rest already! Besides, in my opinion, having a favorite Assassin would blind me from all the others and then complain that the new character is not like the old one. It’s not fair really. They are all good characters to me.

I NOTICED THIS IN THE AC POSTER COLLECTION BOOK TOO—- maybe I’m just an idiot with a bad memory (I
am a natural blonde)—- BUT WHO IS THE ASSASSIN ON CONNOR’S LEFT?? PLEASE help, I’m hopping up and down hoping it’s a hint for the next game but again, I may just be an idiot. If you know, message me!

It is Nikolai Orelov, he is Cross’s ancestor from the 19th and 20th century. There’s a book or two about him already.

  • Question: The "mother is a better caretaker" is a result of the "tender years doctrine" which was a feminist's policy and yet it's blamed onto some patriarchal stereotype, which it's not. - Anonymous

These really can’t be said enough.

Like, literally, it can’t be said enough, because feminists continually say this is a symptom of “hte patriarcheh” without realizing that no, it’s 100% feminist-pushed legal doctorine.

    -Jafar

Nope. Because they’re not feminists. I don’t know how many times I have to bash people about the head with this but when it promotes inequality, it goes against the very definition of feminism.

They do it in the name of feminism, though.

Feminists brought it about. Are you going to NAFALT Caroline Norton now?

    Here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tender_years_doctrine

This is perfectly in line with what feminism actually is about in practice, not what it says its about for PR purposes.

on the day before valentine’s day this year, my two friends (one male and one female) decided to do a social experiment. they posted the exact same status on facebook and left it up for five minutes, before taking a screenshot to see what reaction they got. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

welp.

They do speak for themselves, one has a group of people on Facebook being complete assholes and she should get rid of them. The other has a group of people telling them screw it, it doesn’t matter and go have fun and might actually be kinda cool(except for the desperate chicks insult). It speaks volumes that there are two types of people in this world. That’s what I gathered.

I did a thing

this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve come across in a long time.

I understand the daily hardships that so many people have in a world ruled by white males.

I understand that sometimes this can make it feel as if all white males are the enemy (especially for those who fight for equality).

but posts like this need to stop.

you are not advancing anybodies rights.

you are not promoting anybodies equality.

this is not activism.

this is hate-mongering.

Thanks for the contribution :)

I’ve lost track, am I even allowed an opinion these days? Whatever. How about this radical idea: Let’s treat each other equally, and then we’ll all be equal? All this mindless mud-slinging achieves nothing and only serves to demonstrate how true objectives of those involved (notably NOT equality).

Feminists promote sexual violence, censorship, and double standards under the phony banner of “equality”.

Feminism, atleast when social blogging, has been discovered by many people as the real life equivalent of the lawful stupid paladin.

If its for equality then its okay. One can vent a unfathomable amount of anger while seeming morally righteous as long as its under the banner of feminism. Someone complained about your socks? Maybe your fashion is atrocious, but no, thanks to feminism it can instead be a man trying to police your bodies, telling you what you have to do.

How dare he call your socks ugly, they have pictures of broccoli on them! Then when one contemplates the addictive nature of anger, we can see how we are where we are.

Similar accusations can be said of some prominent radfems outside the social media circuit. Andrea Dworkin is the femminist Jean-Paul Marat for instance. This is also combined with a unfortunate conflict of interests where people have found themselves financially dependent on woman feeling helpless, as a professional feminist (such as people in NOW) find themselves in.
